 Geology Waterfall at top of stream cut, steep sided ravine with fine exposures of thick Namurian Black Shales with regular interbedded ironstone nodules. Fine exposure of a thin coal seam with underlying seat earth and overlying hard sandstone strata in cliff at the waterfall. Shap and other erratic boulders in the stream bed.

 Record Description This, the second of several Database records centred at Hunder Beck and its tributary streams above Blackton Reservoir will draw attention to the interesting wild moorland scenery and geology with deeply hidden stream cut ravines and distant views of the two isolated 'nunatatak' hills of Goldsborough and Shacklesbrough.
